Training Restarts This Thursday

Happy New Year to all from EMFC.

Thursday Night training sessions will recommence this Thursday 8th January, an ideal opportunity for the boys to work off the festive sweets and chocolates!

The next training block will run from 8th January through to 2nd April before we break for the Easter holidays.

The cost for this block is £20, which has been discounted to allow for the 3 cancelled sessions before Christmas, weekly payments of £2 per week can also be made.

Match v Byron Utd : Cancelled

The next mact for this Sunday has been cancelled by Byron as they cannot field a team due to the school holidays.

Also, the training on Thursday 23rd October (next week) due to coaches having other commitments.

Next Match v Bridge of Don SC (Away)

We have Bridge of Don SC as our next opponents, away in Aberdeen.

They play their matches at Upper Westfield which is situated next to Bridge of Don Academy (same place as last time). Directions and a map can be found below.

The usual arrangements where kick-off is at 10:30 and all boys are to be there no later that 10:30.

The format will be 2 x 25 minute halves with penalties at the end of the match.

Directions

On approaching Aberdeen From Ellon using the Ellon Road, turn right along The Parkway. At the next roundabout, turn left down Scotstown Road. Take the 1st right along Braehead Way. Take the 3rd turning on your left into the Academy. Turn immediately to your left and follow the road round (primary on your left) and you will find a church (modern building). Park anywhere here.

To access the pitch walk down the hill between the primary school and the church.

Our next Sunday match is at home v Fraserburgh.

Usual arrangements apply, boys to be there for 10:00 for 10:30 kick-off.

Our next fixture is a HOME fixture against Byron Utd. This match is on Thursday 17th April.

Usual arrangements apply where boys must be there for 6:15 for a 7:00 kick-off.

Please note we have to charge £2 for this match (same as training would be anyway).

Our next fixture is a HOME fixture against Middlefield SC.

Usual arrangements apply where boys must be there no later than 10:00 for a 10:30 kick-off.

Next Match v Culter BC Colts (Home)

This week we have a home match against Culter Colts.

The match will be at the usual place and time, Deer Park kick off at 10:30. All boy to be there no later than 10:00.

Match Cancelled : Home v Banchory Lions

Today's match was cancelled on Saturday evening due to the lying snow and forecast for either more snow or heavy rain for Satuday night into Sunday morning.

The early cancellation was for the benefit of the visitors with them having to leave early on Sunday to get to the match.

With hind sight this match could have gone ahead as the pitch was OK, but heavy going, with the snow gone and no rain. I'm sure that no-one would have expected this.

Lets hope for good weather for the coming weekend for our trip to Alford to play Donside Juvenile.
